Mayank Chhaya is a senior and respected Indian journalist based in Chicago. In his career stretching over four decades, Chhaya has reported out of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the United States. He is a widely published commentator on South Asian and China–Tibet affairs. Chhaya now leads a significant and meaningful conversations within the context of daily news from his owned media channel, MCR, short for Mayank Chhaya Reports. 

Chhaya is the producer, editor and distributor of Gandhi's Song, a critically acclaimed feature-length documentary about the life and times of Narsinh Mehta, a 15th-century Indian poet-philosopher whose writings profoundly influenced Mohandas Gandhi. One of Mehta's songs, "Vaishnav Jan To", was Gandhi's moral guiding force throughout his life.
